FloorRight is more than just estimation software. It jumps past simple estimation by working as a sales tool as well. It provides an interactive interface for the estimator to customize the layout. When the estimator is finished it computes final costs and provides seam and roll printouts for the installer, as well as a finished bid for the customer.

Saltire Software's SketchRight™ software is specifically designed for use in the field to automate your dimensioning and drawing activities. The unique aspect of SketchRight™ is that with this system you can create a scaled drawing from a rough sketch automatically. First sketch the area of interest with a pen, mouse, trackball or touchpad; then as you select each line you enter its exact length and the drawing rescales itself automatically. You can interrogate the drawing at any time for virtually any dimensional information about the drawing such as areas, perimeters, angles, etc. What could be easier.

SketchRight™ includes various features such as lines styles, colors and fill patterns, symbol capability, DXF in and out, and printing to a specified scale or fit to page. For pen users SketchRight™ supports its own set of geometry recognizers.

Currently SketchRight™ can be used in conjunction with Leica's DATA DISTO range finding unit. This allows dimensions to be entered automatically without having to write or type them into the computer, virtually eliminating transcription and measuring errors. Just aim the DATA DISTO between the points to measure and it instantly takes a reading accurate to an eighth of an inch and rescales the drawing. Imagine no more measurement errors, transcription errors, or dimensioning errors.

The SketchRight™ user interface has been optimized to take advantage of three primary elements. First, the geometry recognizer allows arcs, lines, rectangles, and circles to be entered as easily as if you were sketching with pencil and paper. Secondly, Saltire's patented constraint engine evaluates the dimensions on the drawing and redraws the geometry to those precise dimensions. Both of these capabilities are simply not available in typical drawing programs. Not only are the results much more legible and dimensionally accurate than pencil and paper, but the drawing is to scale. Redrawing to precise dimensions alerts the user if an incorrect dimension has been entered. Finally, Saltire has focused on field ease-of-use by allowing the user to create custom "drag-and-drop" symbol libraries. This saves end user time and fosters consistency across drawings.
